WELCOME to Tools for Self Reliance (Morpeth Group)

Tools for Self Reliance is a national charity which was set up in 1980 as a practical way to support working people in some of the poorest parts of Africa. The charity is reliant upon its network of volunteers situated throughout the UK to fulfil its mission.

toolsA small independent group has been set up in Morpeth, refurbishing tools for the national TFSR programme. We urgently require old and surplus woodworking and metalworking tools, sewing machines etc... which we can refurbish and/or repair as required.

For a full list of the tools we need click here If you have any old tools, please contact us to arrange collection.

Don’t throw your old tools away!! They could provide a lifeline to the poorer people in developing countries in Africa!

CAN YOU HELP?

We welcome volunteers to help with our programme. If you can offer
practical help with repairs or you are prepared to collect tools on our behalf or you simply wish to act as a drop-off point for tool donations, please give us a call - we value ANY assistance offered.
